Page layout

Illustration itself  has an undisputed place in children's book - no doubts about it. But each page of the book has to have a layout which leads viewer's eyes from one point to another. It means that the major elements of an illustration as well as a text on the page have to be in a proper place to create great composition in overall. There is few rules and tricks that can help to decide where to place the objects to drag the viewer attention the most.

Page layout is the part of graphic design that deals in the arrangement and style treatment of elements (content) on a page. Whereas pagination alone can be a simple process (and thus today is mostlyautomated), page layout is a higher-level concept involving intelligence, sentience, and creativity.
